Ray of Hope!

Russel and I have decided to take part in the Relay for Life in Grande Prairie this year. 

The event happens on June 14th, 2013. 

Basically we raise money for cancer research, and then spend the entire night walking around a track. 

I've participated before, and it's actually a pretty wonderful event that honours cancer survivors and celebrates the lives of those whom we've lost to cancer. 

It's also fun because you're in the company of family and friends all night playing games and whatnot. 

Obviously this year is going to be much more meaningful to us, as we just lost Dad to cancer in April. 

It's going to be a tough night I imagine, but I'm looking forward to it. 

Our friends that were already participating gave our team the beautiful name "Ray of Hope" in honour of Dad and his life. 

Can't wait to do my part in the fight against cancer. 

It's a small thing, but it means a lot to our family to participate.
