Ray of Hope!

Relay for Life in Grande Prairie happened this weekend :)
The forecast called for thundershowers, but we only got a couple hours of rain in the early morning today.
I'm guessing that I walked for between 5 and 6 hours, on and off.
Today I'm exhausted and pretty well ready to collapse now.
My feet and thighs and whole body are sore, lol.
My husband has been sleeping on the couch for the last few hours - already done for the day!

It was a great event though! So glad I could be a part of it!
The first lap is always done by cancer survivors from the area and I couldn't believe how many people walked that lap. It was really amazing.
Being part of the event also gave us the chance to honour Dad again.
Brings back great memories as we celebrate this Father's day weekend.
We wrote a luminary (a bag with a message and a candle inside) in his memory.
The candles then line the whole track and make a very beautiful scene as we walk.
It also helps to light the way and make sure you're still on the track at 3am :)

All in all it was a great event! I hope to participate again next year :)
Thank you to all who read this post and sponsored our walk this weekend.
Lots of money was raised in Grande Prairie to help fight the battle against cancer.

Here are some pics from the event:
(sorry, I don't have any pics of the whole team - but they were all amazing!)

^^ This last pic is us when we got home at 7am, haha. Looking exhausted! ^^

Thanks for your support!
{love}
