Who Needs Kids, My Dogs are Awesome [Part 3]

Not only do we love our dogs individually, as you just saw; we also love them playing and interacting together.

We weren't sure when we first got them that they would play nicely, or play at all really.
It's actually quite a spectacle to watch one huge dog play with one little dog.
We try to encourage their play a lot. We never get them in trouble if they rip a toy apart and leave pieces all over the place (really it's our fault for giving them that toy if we don't want them to play with it!), or if they tug the other dog's ear too hard. They're dogs. They play.

We've also tried to expose them to little kids whenever we can, because we want them to learn to be gentle with babies and children, and to keep a safe distance.
So far so good. Daisy is afraid of babies, because their different so she keeps a safe distance, but she also lets kids pet her gently without even reacting if they pull a hair or two. And Joop pulls a "I don't need to deal with this" attitude. He's very nonchalant about the whole thing actually.

Just to emphasize once again, our love for our puppies.... here's a few pictures of the dogs together... and one video of them playing tug-of-war!

This makes me laugh every time! Enjoy :)

We love our puppies :)
They are very much a part of our family!

  1. oops, my bad! They're not playing tug-of-war in this one - just plain playing :) Still a good one though!
