I love scrapbooking.
The idea of recording memories and photos on paper to last a lifetime :)
Handmade for me to enjoy now, and for my kids to look at and enjoy later (and by later, I mean when they are old enough not to ruin them with their sticky fingers! lol).
That's why I became a scrapbooking consultant for Close to My Heart.
I love the product enough to support it, and encourage others to use it!
But when I became a consultant, I just wanted to be able to get free products myself. I never wanted it to become a full-fledged business.
This past week I spent the afternoon with another consultant friend of mine, and we sat at a booth showing off our product - a first for both of us!
We were asked directly by someone to come, so we said, "sure", but what we thought was a trade-show-type-event, was actually a flutter of elderly people walking around looking at stuff, lol.
Still, it was very fun!
Chatting with others, chatting with the other consultant.
This was the first time that I thought, "Huh, maybe I could do this again?!".
I'm still not sold on the idea. Turning this into a business with some actual profit would be a LOT more work than I'm currently doing. The option is there though, for me to keep contemplating over.
And for now, I'm definitely going to keep selling the product!
On a totally unrelated note… this was also my first time bringing the baby anywhere public for the day!
First time breastfeeding in front of complete strangers (under a cover), first time consoling her in public, first time introducing her to a billion (approximately) strangers.
She was AMAZING though.
Not sure if the scrapbooking supplies or the baby was more popular!
She slept through a ton of noise, and when she awoke, she was awake without any fussing or craziness.
I was so proud of her :)
See the "Close to My Heart" tab for more information on the products!
