Winter Maternity Scrapbooking

With my beautiful baby girl being a growing 3-month old now, I may be a little bit late on sharing some of my maternity scrapbook pages, but better late than never, right?!

13 Hours of Scrapbooking

 I really enjoy scrapbooking.
Apparently, enough so that I would spend an entire day doing just that.
So when my friend (from this lovely blog) invited me to an all-day scrapbooking event, I couldn't resist!
Not only did I get to meet some new people and visit with other scrapbook loving ladies all day - I've also never been so productive - definitely doing this again!
Here are some pictures of the pages I completed in a mere 13 hours:

This page was actually done just before I left... but I wanted to show it off anyway!

And a couple of pages from camping with my bestie & my husband at Lake Louise and Banff!
The first one uses the CTMH Camping Delights stamp set.

And a few wedding layouts :)

This one is a favourite of mine!
The honeycombs were cut using the CTMH artbooking cricut cartridge.

And my favourite of the night - also created using the CTMH artbooking cricut cartridge.

Scrapbooking

I may have gone on a bit of a scrapbooking marathon lately...
I ordered a chunk of new supplies and papers and I was very anxious to get using them - so I did!

Here are a few of the pages I recently finished:

This one is going to be the title page for my 2012-2013 scrapbook.
I love the "home" stamps and I hadn't gotten around to

And then there were wedding pages...
I could probably say that I'm done my 13 of 13 goal to make a wedding scrapbook - but there are still a few moments I want to capture :)

I used my new artbooking cartridge on my cricut to design/make this page. I was quite happy with the end result!

This next layout uses CTMH huntington paper (so does the above one!).
It says "It's a good day to have a good day" along the side.

One more layout to show off some of the handy work that my husband and I did to decorate for the wedding. I used the artbooking cartridge to make these pages too :)

Thoughts??

Pre-Baby Scrapbook Pages

Since I'm already getting ready for the baby's bedroom... why not get the baby's scrapbook ready too?!
I got the new Baby Cakes paper from Close to My Heart and made these layouts.
All gender neutral and ready for pictures to be plopped in come January!

This first one will likely go at the beginning of the book with a newborn pic.
I'll also add some more elaborate details to it once I know if I have a boy or a girl :)

And these two are for early pics too :) The first one will show my newborn sleeping ... maybe with black and white pics. And the second page will hopefully display some of his or her very first pictures. The blue and white box in the bottom left corner will display a name, weight, birthdate, etc.

Can't wait to fill in the pages!
Maybe I'll get some more done before he or she comes - if only I knew what I was having so I could make pink or blue pages... lol.

Scrapbooking Wall Decor

I love scrapbooking and making albums to show off to people.
It was only a matter of time before I started to get some of my creations up on the wall!
So I decided to scrapbook another wedding page to hang up in a shadow box.

I had to use wedding colours (i.e. orange, brown, green & yellow) to make sure it matched the other wedding artwork on that wall.
I also wanted to make sure that this wall flowed with my orange accents and my new photo wall in the adjoining room.
Here's the finished product:

And here's how it looks up on the wall!
The other shadow box frame was one of my post-wedding crafts
and the large frame is our wedding guest tree.
This has essentially become a wedding wall :)

Scrapbooking L8er Sk8er

For your viewing pleasure, here are my most recent scrapbook pages.
I used the L8er Sk8er paper pack from Close to My Heart.
The first one is my husband's trip to Vegas for his brothers stag.
The second is my husband as a baby boy!
I particularly like the car and truck stamps on the second layout :)
Enjoy!

More Scrapbooking from our Wedding

I'm still working away on completing one of my 13 of 13 goals
to "scrapbook a complete wedding album".
I'm just over halfway through the 2013 year, and I've managed to scrapbook right up to the ceremony now. Here are 3 different ceremony pages I did.
I feel like they're all very different, and they all capture very different aspects of the ceremony.
I'm quite happy with the finished products :)

And a couple of close-ups on some details I liked! A cute tag with journaling, and a couple of cute pennants really complete the page!

Since I already finished some wedding party pages here, next up is... a page dedicated to me and my man, and then... RECEPTION!
Lots of fun pictures to look through there :)
I still think this goal is do-able!

Finished Projects

Sorry for the delay...Duh duh duh da....
here are the pages I created with my new Close to My Heart paper!
The pink paper was super girly, and since I don't have any little girls, I used pictures of myself as a little girl :)

I took a close-up shot of the spinner I included (see below). CTMH sent it to me for free so I wanted to incorporate it in my design.
Good dutch women don't let things go to waste!
Hope you find some inspiration yourself!

I really love scrapbooking.
Such a fun time to release some creativity and hang out with some amazing women :)

Cricut Time Has Come at Last

It came!!!
My Cricut is here.
My scrapbooking slash crafting world is about to see a BIG change for the BETTER!
Just wait and see what I can make on this lovely machine :)

It came just in time for me to finish another scrapbooking page!
All of the hearts on this page were cut perfectly by my cricut.
These are some photos of us during the first moments we saw each other on our big day.
{notice the tears in the middle left photo... awww!]

Sick :(

Yep.
It's happened again.
Sore throat. Cough. Stuffed Nose. Hurts to swallow.
I thought that this morning was going to be the worst of it, but actually I feel worse right now that I have all weekend.

In hindsight... all the signs were there for me to slow down. (i.e. feeling tired, waking up with a sore throat one day, and a sore throat plus a cough the next day, etc. etc.).
I have a really hard time slowing down though...
....until I'm forced too.

Luckily I have the wonderful Mr. A who went to the store to buy me medicine...
... and also came back with a Hyacinth :)

I love that he buys me flowers that I can keep around for a long time (or try to anyway!).
(btw - this one smells amazing!)
Being home all day isn't ALL bad. Gave me time to finish a couple more scrapbook pages that I had started with a friend on Saturday!

My workstation.

 The men getting ready :)

The ladies pre-wedding :)

Details - I actually used this fan/flower to cover-up a big stamping blunder, but I bet you didn't guess it!

Maybe I'll accomplish some more great stuff while I'm sick...

Joy After Christmas

Oh scrapbooking! How I love you. There is something I love about capturing out lives on three dimensional, creatively decorated pages.

This is pretty much what my scrapbooking area looks like while I'm planning:

 Finished Products!

Up-close look at my family Christmas page!

Up-close look at my Christmas at home with my amazing husband!

Since I was on a roll... I figured I should start the planning for my wedding day scrapbook. Get an early start on my "scrapbook a complete wedding album" goal. So I started with the opening page:

I tried to incorporate some elements from our wedding into the title page (i.e. burlap & owls).

Close-up view of the owls and details.

 Love it!

Time for bed.
