Amelia's Baby Shower

Babies are soooo precious!
I love babies... and I love parties.... and I love celebrating!
So it's no surprise that I jumped at the chance to help host a baby shower for my friend and her new baby girl, Amelia.

Here are some photos from the fun event (including a creative craft!):

The guest of honour :)
ps - look how much hair she has!!!! It's crazy!

Here's the homemade banner:

And the homemade cupcake toppers!

We wanted to try to do something a little different for this shower... so instead of a ton of games (although we still played one short game!), we had everyone participate in a craft for the mother and daughter! We bought a letter for each letter of the alphabet of various sizes and designs (all paid for with coupons from Michaels! My Oma would be so proud... ). Then we had each guest decorate one letter so that they would one day be able to hang the alphabet up on the wall in her baby room! There of course were some hesitant ladies out there... "oh ne, not me... I'm not crafty". But most participated and it turned out great!

Here's some of the supplies we put out:
- decorative flowers and jewels
- markers
- mod podge
- scrapbook paper
- glue
- ribbons
- paint
- glitter

Some cards so that we could all share a blessing on Amelia:

Here is our new mom opening some beautiful gifts for Amelia:

Finished products! Didn't they turn out great! Sooo much creativity!

There were a few letters unfinished at the end of the night, so we came up with a creative idea to finish the "o". We had to borrow Amelia for a minute...

...and the last of the letters were finished at my place...

One more pic of the beautiful baby girl - tuckered out after her big party!
